Al & Val's Homestead home they built from rough cut lumber sourced from a local Amish sawmill. A loft style 3 bedroom, two full bath home with board and batten siding. Built on a 24' x 32' ICF Blook foundation and pad, the home is super insulated, heated with a wood stove, but has all the modern ameneties and features you'd expect from any professionally built house. The furniture, buthcerblock counters, kitchen cabinets, and much more was constructed by Val.

Just the two of us learning what it takes to survive off grid on 30 acres of beautiful hardwoods and gorgeous views everywhere you look. We built our own home, most of the furniture we use, butcherblock counter tops, kitchen cabinets and a whole lot more. We do as many of our own mechanical repairs as possible and have learned a lot about self-sufficiency as we've gone along.

We got extremely lucky and our YouTube channel was reviewd by Dave Whipple of Bushradical fame! He had volunteered to roast some channels for their Thumbnail and Title content. We got a good, thorough roasting which we needed, and since then have made all of his suggested changes to the videos he highlighted as well as others.
